Introduction to Yoga Movement

Appropriate for beginners or those wanting to slow down and refine their yoga practice.

New to yoga and feeling unsure of where to start? Or have you been feeling a need to slow down and refine your current practice?

This unique and beneficial small format class is the perfect place for you. You won’t find this type of class anywhere else in RVA!

Introduction to Yoga Movement is the perfect blend of group teaching along with personalized and specific attention to alignment, and includes instruction on how to safely and effectively flow into and out of postures. You will learn an accessible sequence of postures that will help you feel more comfortable with yoga movement. The smaller group format allows the teacher to connect with each student and provide any personalized modifications to ensure a safe and optimal experience. In time, this class will prepare you to enter our Led Ashtanga Power Hour or Mysore-Style Ashtanga classes with confidence.

Led Ashtanga Flow Power Hour

Appropriate for practitioners with some familiarity and experience with yoga movement. Not recommended for beginners.

(If you are new to yoga or need a reset in your practice, we recommend our Introduction to Yoga Movement class as the perfect place to start.)

Led Ashtanga Flow Power Hour is a small group led class (max 6 students)where our experienced teachers guide you through an invigorating and flowing practice of accessible postures from the Ashtanga vinyasa yoga sequence, with specific attention to proper alignment and breath. The class includes standing, seated, back-bending, and accessible inverted postures, and ends with a grounding rest period, leaving you feeling calm, refreshed and rejuvenated.
